Before opening my firm 20 years ago, I spent 8 years as a staff attorney for the Common Pleas Court, researching the law and preparing opinions on nearly every aspect of civil and criminal law. I have served on the grievance committee for the Cuyahoga County Bar Association for over 25 years and have represented the Cuyahoga County Bar Association as its grievance committee chair and as its Bar Counsel from 2000-2008. I have represented the bar association in ethics and professional responsibility cases before the Ohio Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court. I am also a past-president and board member of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
Because of my tenure on the grievance committee, I have established a practice that focuses on the representation of professionals with disciplinary or ethical concerns. In addition to defending professionals who have been charged with professional misconduct, I have also counseled others on ways to avoid potential ethics problems, including candidates for public office.
